Penthouse Pool Club

Bar · 4.3 (69 reviews)

Penthouse Pool Club occupies a rooftop at 1612 U St NW on the U Street corridor. It describes itself as a heated rooftop pool and lounge with cocktails, chef-driven food and private-event space, and it is one of several Penthouse locations (others are at The Yards and in Reston).

It holds a 4.3-star Google rating across 69 reviews, and most are positive about the pool, the views and the atmosphere. Recent reviews from members are more critical: several describe long waits to check in and for the elevator to the roof, crowding and a lack of chairs, and food service that has slipped compared with earlier seasons. One reviewer notes that it does not stay open through the winter.

Google lists it as open Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Friday and Saturday from 10 AM, and closed Monday through Thursday; hours appear to be seasonal, so check before going. The entrance and restroom are wheelchair accessible.
