Sushi Ogawa 鮨小川

Sushi Ogawa is a Japanese sushi restaurant at 2100 Connecticut Ave NW, Suite 100, in Kalorama, a short walk from Dupont Circle. Google describes a sushi master serving omakase in artful surroundings with hand-painted fish on the ceiling.

It has a 4.3-star Google rating across 469 reviews. The sushi bar, wagyu, fatty tuna, sea urchin, chawanmushi and unagi don come up, and several reviewers call the chef friendly. One reviewer calls it the best omakase in DC, and another describes a good-value sushi deal at $48. Others found it overpriced. Recent complaints include being charged for bottled water during an omakase, a musty sake glass, and a single bad piece that spoiled one couple's meal. Reviewers note there are few non-sushi items.

Hours are Monday–Friday noon–3 PM and 5–9:30 PM, Saturday 4–9:30 PM and Sunday 5–9 PM. Reviewers mention booking omakase reservations ahead. Phone: (202) 813-9715.
